interview

There’s nothing quite like hearing a young virtuosic brass player. Technical brilliance combined with exquisite musical artistry are always something to behold, even more so when we add that fresh perspective and energy. Think of the first time you heard a young Freddie Hubbard! Such is the case with the great Michael Dease and Mike Rodriguez. Musical maturity, spontaneity and sheer brilliance that defies their ages and immediately grabs our attention. I can’t wait to watch and listen to the Mike’s careers evolve in the coming years and decades.
