interview

I have been a major fan of Elliot Mason since I first heard him on a YouTube video many years ago. His virtuosic command and modern harmonic vocabulary had me from the first notes I heard. My son Zaq, a budding young trumpet player himself, introduced me to the Mason Brothers CD “Two Sides One Story” about a year ago and I was blown away. Their writing, playing and production are absolutely stellar. On top of being brilliant musicians, they are two of the nicest people you’d ever want to meet. Sit back and enjoy this hour long discussion with two of the brightest stars in the world of jazz and brass.
